Porridge with Apples, Almonds & Cinnamon

A healthy and low fat breakfast for the whole family. Multiply below quantities depending on the number of people.
  • ½ cup raw oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 25 grams raw almonds (about 20 almonds)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla bean paste (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium-high heat. Once boiling, turn heat down to low and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly.
  2. Serve with extra milk and honey so people can adjust to their own taste.
